Abroad Scout is pleased to invite entries for the Film Spray International Festival, which will take place in Florence, Italy on May 15, 2015. It is not required to attend, but you are all welcome.
Students (especially those who have studied abroad in Italy) are invited to submit a short video between 30 and 90 seconds on this year's theme: "ITALY" in its entirety (nature, society, craftsmen, art, politics, history, food, etc.). Video entries may be accompanied by music but not words. The absence of dialogue and other forms of verbal communication make the video understandable worldwide and easy to interpret, without age-culture-social limitations.
The Best Video wins €1,000.00. There may be other prizes as well as an opportunity for your film to be viewed by many important filmmakers and distributors.
The Festival is organized by EcoFrames and Lorenzo de Medici in partnership with Rai (Italy's national television), Rai Cinema, Abroad Scout, Quelli della Compagnia di Fondazione Sistema Toscana, Affaritaliani.it, VideoMakers.net, Federazione Italiana dei Cineclub (FEDIC), Centro Commerciale Naturale SAN LORENZO, and Cinephotoart.
To participate, please submit your video and application form (http://www.studyabroadscout.com/filmspray_registration.pdf) in one email message to [email protected]. Send a link where we can download your video (the video file must have two different export formats, (i.e., .mov and .avi). Fill out, sign, and scan the registration form with your real signature (preferred format .pdf). Unlike other events there is no registration fee.
The deadline is May 1, 2015. If entries are incomplete (application materials or video), they will be disqualified.
