Carlo's Bakery, the Hoboken-based enterprise made famous in the reality TV show "Cake Boss," will be opening a bake shop in town.
"Morristown really is a family town. It represents everything we are about at the bakery," said Buddy Valastro, owner of Carlo's Bakery. "I've been to Morristown many times and have always thought it would be a perfect place for Carlo's."
The bakery will be located at 40 Market St. on the ground floor of the Metropolitan at 40 Park and will have more than 3,700 square feet, according to a press release from the company. The complex includes apartments, restaurants and shops.
"We are hoping to open by Christmas," said Adam Bourcier, a spokesman for the bakery.
Valastro, who lives in East Hanover, is the star of "Cake Boss," a reality show on TLC's set at the Hoboken bake shop that has been run by the Valastro family since 1910. The show has been on the air since April of 2009.
