DiaSorin on Tuesday announced it has completed studies at the Spallanzani Hospital in Rome and the Policlinico San Matteo in Pavia to launch by the end of March a rapid-response molecular test to diagnose the novel coronavirus (Codiv-19).

The test's result will be available within 60 minutes against the five-seven hours that are currently necessary to identify the virus, DiaSorin said. The request to register the test, which will be reportedly available by the end of March at the Spallanzani and San Matteo hospitals, will be submitted to the Food and Drug Administration for the Emergency Use Authorization.
