National Organization of Italian American Women Rhode Island Region in partnership with Bristol Art Museum presents a preview of Linda Cardillo’s forthcoming novel, Love That Moves the Sun: Vittoria Colonna and Michelangelo Buonarroti, a work of historical fiction set in turbulent 16th-century Italy.
The brilliant poet, Vittoria Colonna, whose longing is buried beneath her grief, ignites the spirit of the artist Michelangelo and challenges him with both the profound terror and the fierce beauty of love. In gratitude for the support Linda has received over the years, she is dedicating a special advance edition of Love That Moves the Sun to NOIAW Rhode Island. Books will be available for preorder, and light refreshments will be served.
