Take a step back in time with Montclair Early Music and experience an Italian Renaissance Christmas with their Christmas in Italy Concert, five o'clock in the evening on Sunday, Dec. 15.
Montclair Early Music, a local recorder ensemble with cello and vocalists, and the Bloomfield Mandolin Orchestra will perform period music and present a sampling of regional Italian Christmas traditions – folk dancers and jugglers, the Christmas Carnival and Parade of Venice, early Italian Christmas carols, the Uffizi Gallery of Florence, Neapolitan creches, and a visit from the Good Witch Befana of Rome with her candies and sweets.
