500 Years of Italian Master Drawings from the Princeton University Art Museum focuses on the renowned collection of more than 1,000 Italian drawings at the Princeton University Art Museum, which includes significant works by artists Luca Cambiaso, Guercino, and Giambattista Tiepolo, as well as masterpieces by Carpaccio, Michelangelo, and Modigliani.
Featuring more than 90 rarely seen highlights, this exhibition will provide a fresh examination of Italian draftsmanship by mapping issues and concepts such as technique, function, and connoisseurship. A fully illustrated catalogue accompanies the exhibition.
