Nutley resident John I. Gizzo was one of eight Essex County Superior Court judges appointed Thursday, Aug. 13, by the State Senate. Gizzo, a former Nutley attorney, was assigned to the Superior Court, Criminal Division, Essex County, Vicinage 5, according to official Supreme Court documents.
"I'm very pleased that he was appointed. He was a fantastic lawyer, I know he did some governmental work, he has a great reputation with the legal community," Nutley resident and Assemblyman Ralph Caputo (D-28) told the Sun. Gizzo could not be reached for comment by press time.
