Italian-American Heritage and Culture Month, recognized since 1989, is an opportunity to pay tribute to the enduring legacy of Italian Americans in the United States.
From the early explorers to the 5.5 million working-class immigrants who arrived in the United States around the beginning of the 20th century, Italian Americans have played a vital role in shaping and developing the nation. Italian Americans have made substantial contributions in various fields, including government, science and technology, arts and entertainment, literature, product design, and cuisine.
