More than a dozen Ferraris were abandoned in a Texas field for nearly a decade after their owner became seriously ill and missed warehouse storage payments. Even after the payments were made, the cars became stuck there for almost 10 years as the collector's family fought through legal proceedings.
Now the value of the collection, which could have been well worth over $1million, has seriously depreciated due to damage caused by the elements. The late collector, whose name has not been released, was a wealthy Texas attorney who first became interested in Corvettes.
