As part of our move into the travel guide direction, we will begin with a literary/ memoir style guide to driving in Italy. Pitstops, Pitfalls and Olive Pits is a literary license to enjoy driving escapades throughout scenic Italy. John Tabellione takes you up and down the boot sharing his experiences and providing great tips at the end of each chapter on how to best survive behind the wheel.
I can relate personally to most of these experiences when I lived with my family in Sicily. When you first are stationed with the military overseas you are required to take a class and an exam in order to drive. I cannot say that I learned much from the class and subsequent exam itself but I thoroughly enjoyed driving throughout Italy and most of my knowledge was learned through experience.
