Hackensack University Health Network is mourning the loss of Justice Marie L. Garibaldi of Weehawken, NJ, who died on January 15, 2016. Justice Garibaldi was part of the Hackensack University Health Network family since 2001 and served with great distinction as a member of all three of its Boards: the Hackensack University Health Network, HackensackUMC and the HackensackUMC Foundation.

She served in many leadership positions on these boards, including first vice chair of the HackensackUMC Board of Governors. She was a pioneer and trailblazer in the legal community, serving as the first female justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court.
