This year's judges included Chairman Walt Smith, Steven Clarke, John Brown, Superintendent Russell Lazovick, Barbara Hirsch, Phil White and Board of Education trustee Fred Scalera. Radcliffe Elementary Principal Michael Kearney is the Nutley Jaycees' Educator of the Year. The winners will be honored at a Thursday, April 7, dinner at The Valley Regency, 1149 Valley Road in Clifton. The event opens with a 6:30 p.m. cocktail hour, followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $45. Educator of Year: Michael Kearney came to the Nutley school district in September 2002 as a teacher of the Cisco Networking Academy, Cisco Information Technology, Microsoft Office, sports and entertainment marketing, as well as Photoshop at Nutley High School. Kearney was the advisor for four years to the Class of 2006.
