Wednesday, April 27 1 to 3 pm ET. Italian Hand Gestures: The Art of Nonverbal Communication with Luca Vullo. Sponsored by The Coccia Institute for the Italian Experience in America. Feliciano School of Business Room 140. 1 Normal Avenue, Montclair, NJ. Please join the Coccia Institute as Luca Vullo, notable film & theater performer, and director chats with us live from Italy to explain the meanings and methods of Italian body language and hand gestures.
Luca Vullo, a self-described “ambassador of Italian gestures to the world,” focuses on the significance of using body language within Italian culture through la voce del corpo (the body’s voice) technique. Luca presents an entertaining look at stereotypes, history, language, culture, and science. Analyzing the gestures of the hands, facial expressions, and social behavior of Italians and comparing them with the nonverbal communication of different cultures, helps develop a deeper understanding of one’s own culture.
