An upcoming exhibit will bring to San Angelo art that's seldom seen outside of major museums. Masterpieces by artists such as Tintoretto, Tiepolo, and Veronese will be featured in "Venetian Paintings from the Sarah Campbell Blaffer Foundation" and "Mediterranea: American Art from the Graham D. Williford Collection."
An opening reception will be held from 5:30-9 p.m. Thursday during Art Walk, including refreshments and live music free to the public at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts. A diverse array of subjects, reflecting artists' versatility over several centuries, include human and animal figures, religious and mythological themes in luscious outdoor settings.
