League City’s Italian Heritage Museum will welcome guests starting Saturday morning. Dubbed a soft opening, it is just the beginning for the museum that honors the contributions Italian families have made to League City. “It will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for tours,” said Monica Hughes, director of the Butler Longhorn Museum.
The Italian Heritage Museum is part of the Butler museum. Both located at Heritage Park, 1220 Coryell. Saturday will be a special day for the museum, but the grand opening will be May 15 when League City’s first annual Italian heritage festival will be at the park. Hughes said highlights that day will be Italian games, food and music.
